air fryer protein bagels

Freshly prepared air fryer protein bagels on white plate

Delicious and nutritious air fryer protein bagels that are quick to make and perfect for a high-protein breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oat flour
  • 1/2 cup protein powder (vanilla or unflavored)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp water (if needed)
  • Optional toppings: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine oat flour, protein powder, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, egg, and olive oil.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. If too dry, add water 1 tablespoon at a time.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each into a ball.
  5. Poke a hole in the center of each ball to form a bagel shape.
  6. Optionally, sprinkle toppings on top of each bagel and press gently to adhere.
  7. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Place the bagels in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each.
  9. Air fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Remove and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, slice and toast the bagels, then spread with cream cheese or nut butter for a satisfying treat.
