Apple Chips in an Air Fryer

Crisp Air Fryer Apple Chips

Enjoy crispy and healthy apple chips made easily in your air fryer! This simple recipe requires only apples and a sprinkle of cinnamon for a satisfying snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples (Gala, Honeycrisp, or Fuji work well)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the apples.
  2. Thinly slice the apples using a mandoline or a sharp knife. Aim for slices about 1/16 inch thick.
  3. If desired, lightly sprinkle the apple slices with cinnamon.
  4. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, being careful not to overcrowd them. You may need to cook in batches.
  5. Air fry at 300°F (150°C) for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chips are crispy and slightly browned. The exact time will depend on your air fryer and the thickness of your slices.
  6. Let the apple chips cool completely. They will crisp up further as they cool.
  7. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Notes

For a sweeter treat, lightly brush the apple slices with maple syrup or honey before air frying. Be sure to store in a single layer to prevent sticking.
