Cheesy Breakfast Casserole

A warm and hearty Cheesy Breakfast Casserole packed with eggs, cheese, and savory breakfast sausage, perfect for a satisfying start to your day.

  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter or cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, cooked sausage, hash browns, onions, and bell peppers until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika or chopped fresh herbs like chives or parsley before baking.
