These chili garlic sweet potatoes are the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Roasted until tender and caramelized, they make a delicious and healthy side dish or snack.

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the cubed sweet potatoes with olive oil, minced garlic, chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread the sweet potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until tender and slightly caramelized, flipping halfway through.
  5. Garnish with chopped green onions (optional) and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil the sweet potatoes for the last 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
