Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 oz (450g) cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 oz (115g) dark chocolate, melted
  • Red and white icing gels or fondant (for gnome decoration)
  • Mini chocolate chips or candy eyes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter in a bowl; press about 1 tablespoon into the bottom of each muffin cup to form a crust.
  3. In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition.
  5. Mix in sour cream, heavy cream, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Fold in melted dark chocolate until fully incorporated.
  7. Pour the cheesecake batter evenly over each crust in the muffin cups.
  8. Bake for 18-22 minutes until the edges are set but the center slightly jiggles.
  9. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Decorate each cheesecake with red and white icing or fondant to create charming gnome hats and beards. Add mini chocolate chips or candy eyes for extra detail.

Notes

For an extra festive touch, dust the cheesecakes lightly with powdered sugar before serving or add a drizzle of white chocolate to mimic gnome beard texture.
