  • 1 roll (16.5 ounces) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • Assorted Christmas sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Press sugar cookie dough into a 9-inch pie plate, forming an even crust.
  3. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly golden brown. Let cool completely.
  4. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy.
  5. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until well combined.
  6. Stir in vanilla extract and almond extract.
  7. Spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the cooled sugar cookie crust.
  8. Decorate with assorted Christmas sprinkles.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow frosting to set.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use brown butter in the frosting. You can also add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness. Garnish with fresh berries for an extra festive touch.
