Cloud Bread Breakfast is a light and fluffy low-carb bread alternative, perfect for a healthy and airy morning meal. This recipe yields soft, golden cloud bread rounds that make an excellent base for any breakfast topping.

Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar together until stiff peaks form.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the egg yolks, cream cheese, honey (if using), and salt until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture in three additions, being careful not to deflate the whites.
  5. Spoon the mixture onto the baking sheet in 6 equal rounds, shaping them nicely.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and set.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving with your favorite breakfast toppings.

Notes

For added flavor, sprinkle some herbs or cheese on top before baking, or serve with avocado and smoked salmon for a delicious twist.
