Ingredients

  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow creme
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cotton candy flavoring
  • Pink and blue gel food coloring
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, butter, evaporated milk, and salt.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a full rolling boil.
  4. Continue boiling for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in marshmallow creme, vanilla extract, and cotton candy flavoring until smooth.
  6. Divide the fudge mixture in half. Tint one half pink with gel food coloring and the other half blue.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of pink and blue fudge into the prepared pan, alternating colors.
  8. Swirl the colors together gently with a knife or toothpick.
  9. Sprinkle with sprinkles, if desired.
  10. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use salted butter. Store fudge in an airtight container at room temperature.
