Delight in these elegant Cranberry Brie Puff Pastry Cups, combining flaky pastry with creamy brie and tart cranberry sauce for a perfect appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (fresh or canned)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme (optional)
  • Flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a mini muffin tin.
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth out the folds.
  3. Cut the pastry into 12 equal squares large enough to fit into the muffin cups.
  4. Press each square gently into the mini muffin tin cups, forming little pastry cups.
  5. Place a small piece of brie cheese into the bottom of each pastry cup.
  6. Add about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce on top of the brie.
  7. Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of chopped fresh thyme over each cup.
  8. Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg to help with browning.
  9. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  10. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before carefully removing from the tin.
  11. Serve warm as an elegant appetizer or snack.
