Cranberry Turkey Meatballs Appetizer

These Cranberry Turkey Meatballs are a flavorful and festive appetizer or light meal, perfect for the holidays or any time of year. Made with lean ground turkey and sweet-tart cranberries, they’re a healthy and delicious twist on a classic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped cranberries, breadcrumbs, onion, parsley, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  4. Place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and lightly browned.
  6. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the cranberry sauce glaze. In a small saucepan, combine cranberry sauce and apple cider vinegar. Heat over medium heat until the cranberry sauce is melted and smooth, about 5 minutes.
  7. Once the meatballs are cooked, transfer them to the saucepan with the cranberry sauce glaze. Toss to coat evenly.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

Serve these meatballs as an appetizer with toothpicks, or as a main course over rice or mashed potatoes. For an extra burst of flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cranberry sauce glaze.
