Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta

This Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta is bursting with flavor! Tender chicken and pasta are coated in a rich, spicy Cajun cream sauce for a satisfying and delicious meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 pound pasta (such as fettuccine or penne)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with Cajun seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  4. Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes. Add bell peppers and cook until slightly tender, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until sauce has slightly thickened.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add cooked pasta and chicken to the skillet. Toss to coat.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. Serve with a side of garlic bread for a complete meal!
