Air Fryer Fries

Crispy and golden air fryer fries make a perfect healthier alternative to traditional deep-fried potatoes, delivering a crunchy texture with less oil.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes (optional) then cut them into evenly sized fries.
  2. Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. Drain and pat the fries dry with a clean towel.
  4. Toss the fries with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3 minutes.
  6. Place fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer, do not overcrowd.
  7. Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking for even crispiness.
  8. Check doneness and cook a few minutes longer if needed.
  9. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crispiness, soak the fries overnight and dry thoroughly before air frying. Serve with ketchup, aioli, or your favorite dipping sauce.
