Delicious Croissant Breakfast Sandwich

Start your day with a delightful Croissant Breakfast Sandwich! Flaky croissants filled with your favorite breakfast staples like eggs, cheese, and your choice of protein.

Ingredients

  • 4 croissants, split horizontally
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your favorite)
  • 4 slices of cooked bacon, sausage patties, or ham
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Avocado slices, tomato slices, or spinach

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. While oven is preheating, melt butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your desired doneness (scrambled, over easy, etc.). Season with salt and pepper.
  4. If using, warm bacon, sausage, or ham in the microwave or skillet.
  5. Place the bottom halves of the croissants on a baking sheet.
  6. Layer each croissant bottom with cheese, cooked egg, and bacon/sausage/ham.
  7. Top with the other half of the croissant.
  8. Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the croissants are warmed through.
  9. Optional: Add avocado, tomato, or spinach before serving.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, try adding sautéed mushrooms or bell peppers instead of meat. Toasting the croissants before adding the fillings will prevent them from getting soggy.
