Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground pork (or turkey or chicken)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (14 ounce) bag coleslaw mix
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional toppings: sesame seeds, chopped green onions, crispy wonton strips

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or wok, brown the ground pork over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Add the sesame oil, chopped onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is softened, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the coleslaw mix, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sriracha (if using), ground ginger, and black pepper.
  4. Cook until the coleslaw is tender-crisp, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds, chopped green onions, and crispy wonton strips, if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a drizzle of hoisin sauce before serving. You can also customize the vegetables by adding shredded carrots, bell peppers, or mushrooms.
