Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sleeve (approximately 40) saltine crackers
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) dry Ranch dressing mix
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, Ranch dressing mix, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Place the saltine crackers in a large zip-top bag.
  4. Pour the oil mixture over the crackers in the bag. Seal the bag and gently toss to coat all the crackers evenly.
  5. Lay the crackers in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping the crackers halfway through, until lightly golden and crispy.
  7. Let the crackers cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the oil mixture. Store in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain crispness.
