Mouthwatering Fried Brie Bites

Golden, crispy, and oozing with melted brie, these Fried Brie Bites are the perfect appetizer for any occasion. Served with a drizzle of honey or your favorite jam, they’re irresistibly delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces brie cheese, chilled and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Honey or jam, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs in three separate shallow dishes.
  2. Dredge each brie cube in the flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Carefully drop the breaded brie bites into the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
  5. Fry for 15-30 seconds per side, until golden brown and the brie starts to melt.
  6. Remove the fried brie bites with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve immediately with honey or your favorite jam, if desired.

Notes

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a pinch of dried herbs like thyme or rosemary to the panko breadcrumbs.
