A creamy and flavorful garlic aioli sauce perfect for dipping, spreading, or enhancing your favorite dishes with a rich, garlicky punch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together minced garlic, egg yolk, and Dijon mustard until combined.
  2. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil in a thin, steady stream while continuously whisking to emulsify the mixture.
  3. Continue whisking until the aioli thickens to a creamy consistency.
  4. Stir in lemon juice, and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half the olive oil with a neutral oil like canola. Serve with grilled vegetables, seafood, or as a sandwich spread.
