Greek Yogurt Bagels

Homemade Greek Yogurt Bagels Close-up

These Greek Yogurt Bagels are a healthy, easy-to-make alternative to traditional bagels, boasting a soft texture and tangy flavor perfect for breakfast or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt. Mix until a dough forms. If too sticky, add a little more flour.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and roll each into a ball.
  5. Poke a hole through the center of each ball with your finger and gently stretch to form a bagel shape.
  6. Place the bagels on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with a little honey if desired and sprinkle with your choice of seeds or seasoning.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a sweeter touch, add cinnamon and raisins to the dough, or serve toasted with cream cheese and fresh fruit.
