  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup Halloween sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar. Mix well.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add the salt and flour, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips and sprinkles.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.

For extra festive blondies, add Halloween-themed candies or frosting on top after baking.
