Celebrate Halloween with this giant, soft, and chewy cookie cake! Decorated with festive Halloween candies and frosting, it’s the perfect spooky sweet treat for sharing.

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Halloween-themed chocolate candies, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Halloween sprinkles
  • 1 can (16 oz) vanilla frosting
  • Orange and black gel food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chopped Halloween chocolate candies and sprinkles.
  7. Press the cookie dough evenly into the prepared cake pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges and slightly soft in the center.
  9. Let cool completely in the pan before frosting.
  10. Tint the vanilla frosting with orange and black gel food coloring, if desired.
  11. Frost the cookie cake and decorate with additional Halloween candies and sprinkles.
  12. Slice and serve.

For an extra festive touch, use different colors of frosting and candy to create a spooky Halloween design. You can also add edible glitter for sparkle!
