  • 1 pound pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or your choice)
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Black olives, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Roll mixture into small meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter).
  4. In a large skillet, cook meatballs over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
  5. Add marinara sauce to the skillet with the meatballs and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. To assemble the eyeballs, top each meatball with a small amount of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Place a slice of black olive on top of the cheese to create the pupil of the eyeball.
  8. Toss pasta with the meatball and sauce mixture.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra spooky fun, add a few drops of green food coloring to the pasta water while cooking to create green pasta!
