Harissa Chicken

Harissa Chicken features tender chicken marinated in a spicy, aromatic North African chili paste, delivering bold flavors perfect for a vibrant and satisfying meal.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 3 tablespoons harissa paste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine harissa paste, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add chicken thighs to the marinade, coating them well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook chicken for 5-7 minutes per side or until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve with a cooling yogurt sauce or alongside couscous and roasted vegetables.
