  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • For the Filling:
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the Topping:
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. Bake the Crust: Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes. Let cool completely.
  3. Make the Filling: In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, and salt until smooth.

  5. Assemble the Pie: Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled crust. Smooth the top.
  6. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the filling to set.
  7. Prepare the Topping: In a clean bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  8. Garnish: Spread the whipped cream topping over the chilled pie. Garnish with chocolate shavings.
  9. Serve: Slice and serve chilled.
