Pear Gorgonzola Flatbread

A deliciously crisp flatbread topped with sweet pears and tangy Gorgonzola cheese, perfect for a sophisticated appetizer or light meal.

  • 1 store-bought flatbread or pizza crust
  • 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
  • 100g Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Fresh arugula for garnish
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the flatbread on a baking sheet and brush evenly with olive oil.
  3. Arrange the pear slices evenly over the flatbread.
  4. Sprinkle the crumbled Gorgonzola and chopped walnuts on top.
  5. Season lightly with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the flatbread is crisp and the cheese is melting.
  7. Remove from oven and drizzle honey over the flatbread.
  8. Top with fresh arugula before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, drizzle balsamic glaze over the flatbread just before serving.
