These Peppermint Bark Cinnamon Rolls are a festive twist on a classic treat! Swirls of cinnamon sugar are baked to golden perfection, then topped with melted chocolate and crushed peppermint candies for a holiday dessert everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (13.8 oz) refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round baking pan.
  2. Unroll the cinnamon roll dough and separate the rolls.
  3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Spread evenly over the dough.
  4. Reroll each cinnamon roll tightly and place in the prepared baking pan.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. While the cinnamon rolls are baking, melt the chocolate and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  7. Once the cinnamon rolls are done, let them cool slightly before frosting.
  8. Spread the melted chocolate over the cinnamon rolls and sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra festive touch, drizzle with white chocolate before adding the peppermint candies. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a truly decadent dessert.
