Delicious Pineapple Pecan Cheese Ball

This sweet and savory pineapple pecan cheese ball is the perfect appetizer for parties or gatherings. Cream cheese, pineapple, pecans, and spices combine for a delicious and crowd-pleasing treat.

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, divided
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add drained crushed pineapple, 1/4 cup chopped pecans, green bell pepper, minced onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the cream cheese. Mix until well combined.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Shape the mixture into a ball.
  5. Spread the remaining 1/4 cup chopped pecans on a plate. Roll the cheese ball in the pecans to coat evenly.
  6. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve with crackers, pretzels, or vegetables.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cheese ball mixture.
