Pistachio Lush Dessert is a luscious, layered treat featuring a pistachio-flavored crust, creamy filling, and whipped topping, perfect for festive occasions or a delightful sweet ending.

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant pistachio pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup chopped pistachios
  • Extra whipped topping for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix the cake mix and melted butter until crumbly, then press into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes or until golden. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together pistachio pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in the sour cream until smooth, then gently fold in the whipped topping.
  5. Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
  6. Sprinkle chopped pistachios over the top for added crunch and flavor.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set before serving.
  8. Garnish with extra whipped topping if desired and serve chilled.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, drizzle melted white chocolate over the top before chilling.
