Delightful and easy-to-make Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella Bites combine creamy mozzarella with salty prosciutto for the perfect appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 8 slices prosciutto, halved lengthwise
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Toothpicks, for securing

Instructions

  1. Drain the mozzarella balls and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Cut each slice of prosciutto in half lengthwise to create thinner strips.
  3. If using, place a fresh basil leaf on each mozzarella ball.
  4. Wrap each mozzarella ball with a strip of prosciutto, securing it with a toothpick if needed.
  5. Arrange the wrapped bites on a serving platter and drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Season with freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately or chill briefly before serving.

Notes

For a warm variation, bake the wrapped bites at 375°F (190°C) for 5–7 minutes until the prosciutto is crispy.
