These Pumpkin Spice Waffles are the perfect fall breakfast! Warm spices and pumpkin puree create a delicious and comforting waffle experience.

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups buttermilk
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, pumpkin puree, eggs, melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron, using the amount recommended by the waffle iron’s manufacturer.
  6. Cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp, usually 3-5 minutes.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
