A Delicious Plate of Rosemary Garlic Mashed Potatoes

These Rosemary Garlic Mashed Potatoes are creamy, flavorful, and perfect as a comforting side dish. Infused with fragrant rosemary and savory garlic, they’re a delightful twist on a classic favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook until potatoes are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. While potatoes are cooking, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and rosemary sprigs and cook for 2-3 minutes, until fragrant. Remove from heat.
  4. Drain potatoes and return them to the pot. Remove rosemary sprigs from butter mixture.
  5. Pour garlic-rosemary butter, milk, and heavy cream over the potatoes.
  6. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy, using a potato masher or an electric mixer.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh rosemary (optional).

Notes

For extra flavor, try roasting the garlic cloves before mashing them into the potatoes.
