2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons butter, softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
Pat the tuna steaks dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, chives, and lemon juice. Mix well to combine.
Heat the olive oil in a heavy-bottomed skillet over high heat until shimmering.
Carefully place the tuna steaks in the hot skillet. Sear for 1-2 minutes per side for rare, or longer for desired doneness.
Remove the tuna steaks from the skillet and immediately top with the garlic herb butter.
Let the butter melt slightly before serving.
