Smoked Salmon Spread

This creamy smoked salmon spread is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer perfect for parties or a quick snack. Its smoky flavor combined with fresh herbs creates a refreshing and savory treat.

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 oz smoked salmon, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon capers, drained and chopped
  • 1 small shallot, finely minced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  2. Fold in the chopped smoked salmon, fresh dill, capers, and minced shallot.
  3. Add lemon juice and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  4. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until well blended.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve with crackers, bagels, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

For extra zest, add a teaspoon of horseradish or a dash of hot sauce to the spread before chilling.
