  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (1 ounce) package dry sour cream and onion soup mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Chopped fresh chives, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream, milk, and sour cream and onion soup mix. Stir until well combined.
  3. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes per side, until lightly browned.
  5. Place seared chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  6. Pour the sour cream and onion mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Garnish with fresh chives, if desired.
  9. Serve immediately.
