Festive Spiced Cranberry Sauce on Holiday Table

This Spiced Cranberry Sauce is a festive and flavorful addition to any holiday meal. Infused with warm spices and a hint of citrus, it’s a delicious and easy-to-make condiment.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Pinch of ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, water, orange juice, orange zest, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and the sauce has thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool completely. The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.
  5. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For a smoother sauce, you can use an immersion blender after cooking. Garnish with fresh orange zest for added flavor and visual appeal.
