  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Crackers, pretzels, or vegetables, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, crumbled bacon, chopped jalapeños, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  3. Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Remove the cheese mixture from the refrigerator and shape it into a ball.
  6. Serve immediately with crackers, pretzels, or vegetables.

Notes

For a milder flavor, remove the seeds and membranes from the jalapeños before chopping. You can also roll the cheese ball in extra bacon bits or chopped pecans before serving for added texture and flavor.
