Steak with Garlic Cream Sauce

Tender, juicy steak served with a rich and flavorful garlic cream sauce, perfect for an elegant yet easy-to-make dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks (8 oz each)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steaks and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare or until desired doneness.
  4. Remove steaks from skillet and let rest on a plate, tented with foil.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter and minced garlic; cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  7. Add thyme leaves and Parmesan cheese; simmer sauce gently until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
  8. Return steaks to skillet briefly to warm through and coat with sauce.
  9. Serve steaks topped with the garlic cream sauce.

Notes

For an extra touch, serve with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes to soak up the delicious sauce.
