Delicious Strawberry Danish with Cream Cheese

These delightful strawberry danishes are filled with a creamy cheese mixture and topped with fresh strawberries. A perfect treat for breakfast, brunch, or dessert!

  • 1 sheet (14.1 oz) frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon milk or egg wash
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into 9 equal squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each square.
  5. Top the cream cheese mixture with sliced strawberries.
  6. Brush the edges of each danish with milk or egg wash.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar, if desired.
