  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place one pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate. Crimp edges.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, sugar, corn syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Stir in pecan halves and chocolate chips.
  5. Pour filling into the prepared pie crust.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
