Delicious Slice of Texas Trash Pie

This Texas Trash Pie is a sweet and salty treat that’s surprisingly addictive. A buttery cracker crust is filled with a medley of pretzels, pecans, chocolate chips, and coconut, all bound together by a sweet custard filling.

  • 1 (14.1 ounce) package Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks, broken into pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the crushed Ritz crackers and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract.
  4. Sprinkle the coconut, pecan halves, chocolate chips, and pretzel pieces evenly over the cracker crust.
  5. Pour the cream mixture over the toppings.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and lightly golden.
  7. Let cool completely before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled or at room temperature. A scoop of vanilla ice cream makes a delicious addition!
